Numerous ways to make a long distance call

Most Filipinos would love to hear from their relatives or friends from the US.  Who won’t?  There’s just such a lot to tell and burning the lines would be one helluvah understatement if you are to make an international call to the Philippines.  This is because the Philippines is one of the most eventful places in the world right now.  See the news to prove this.

Placing a world call could be a particularly wallet-pinching endeavor.  But this should not always be the situation.  There are countless ways to make a long distance call, particularly if the destination of your call is the Pearl of the Orient, the Philippines.

here’s a rundown of proposals on a way to make that international call to the Philippines without shelling out much of your hard-earned dollars.

one.  Watch out when buying call cards.

many pre paid phonephone cards have hidden charges.  There could be a connection fee that would be about tantamount to getting ripped off especially when the card buyer makes a call and either the call is routed to a voice mailbox or to an ansaphone.  Connection fee deduction is mechanically done even when the caller did not say anything yet.

Other telephone card hidden charges include service fee, maintenance fee, access number and long speaking fee.  The expiration date should also be checked.

2.  Know what kind of phone will receive your call.

it will not be smart to make a long distance call to any portable gadget.  The reason being because most of overseas carriers implement the’calling party pays’ system.  The tariff rate of an international wireless telephone may be a lot higher compared against a call made to a land-line in the same country.

three.  Say no way to a telephone operator.

When you elect to be aided by a telephone operator when placing an international call, you opt to pay significantly more .  Whenever possible choose to employ a dial-around service or dial direct.

4.  Join up to a prepaid long distance plan.

Various carriers offer this type of service to people who frequently place long distance calls.  Opt for those with flexible programs.  These plans work like phone cards but do not have fees and charges related to prepaid phonephone cards.  They usually have awfully low domestic and world rates 24/7 and call quality is generally wonderful.  One more thing about these pre-paid plans is the benefit of being able to use them when placing calls from any telephones be it cell telephones or public telephones.

five.  Calling during non-business days or off-peak time will help you save.

Make the most out of these privileges by checking on what your carrier offers.  Just make sure that it won’t be too much of an inconvenience to the recipient of your call.

six.  Bad connections should be observed.

Bad connections occur and the Philippines isn’t an exception to this bother.  When this occurs, take note of the time and the number you called.  Prepaid calling cards barely gives you credit for bad connections.  But if you made a global call using a standard long distance carrier, or pre-paid long distance plans, better check if you could be given credit for that call.  They always do.

it would help if you print this info to be always reminded of the Do’s and do not’s when it comes to making an international call.

With these easy tips, you do not need to worry when your phonephone bill arrives.

ultimately, here’s the step by step process in calling the Philippines.

a.  Dial 011, which is the world code

b.  Then, key in the Philippines’ country code, which is 63.

c.  Now, dial the town area code where your your wife and youngsters are.

Here are the major cities in the Philippines with their respective city area codes :

Angeles Luzon – 455

Bacolod – 34

Baguio – 74

Cebu – 32

Clarkfield, Pampanga – 45

Dagupan, Pangasinan – seventy five

Davao – 82

Iloilo – thirty three

Laguna Province – 49562

Lucena, Luzon – 42

Makati, Luzon – two

Manila – two

Ozamiz town – 88

San Fernando, Pampanga – 45

San Fernando, La Union – 72

San Pablo – 49

Subic, Zambales – 47

Tarlac – 452

Tarlac Province – forty five

Zamboanga – 62

d.  Finally, dial the remaining digits.

Also, don’t forget to greet your Filipino friend using her native language. ‘Kumusta’, recounted as’cooh-moose-TAH’ surely will never fail to make her grin.

Arrival at Amanpulo in the Philippines actually starts before you ever get there!!

You are taken on arrival at Manila airport to the private Aman lounge prior to boarding the hotels own non-public twin prop aircraft which flies you directly to the resort.  That’s some style!!

the 1st thing that happens on arrival is that you are given the grand tour of the resort, then was taken to your ‘casitta’/banda/villa.

We were lucky enough to have a beach casitta, which stood only a short path away from what was nearly our own non-public beach, and what a beach.  Imagine white talcum powder as far as the eye can sea, backed by the most beautiful shades of turquoise and pale blue and green sea.  I presumed I’d seen the finest beaches in the world in the Seychelles – not so!!

The casita has wall to wall windows, so the views of the water are completely spectacular.

there is a king sized bed, a massive toilet with dressing area, separate shower and tub, all just A1.

Outside there’s a large sun deck with 2 day beds and a hammock, and all totally private.

You can add to this the most beautiful cotton robe for lying around in, amazing fluffy towels, toilet products, and fresh fruit each day.

After all that it comes as barely a surprise to discover that the nosh was another feature of Ananpulo.  There’s an a la carte menu, daily specials, and in fact whatever you would like the chef will cook, and you can eat anywhere just about at any time.  A gastronomic paradise!!

particularly notable was the beach club paella, and the B.B.Q.s.

This isn’t a resort for folk who have to be entertained, with many activity being on or under the water, and then naturally there is the beach!!

potentially the outstanding thing of all, was the incredible subtle and classy quality of service, rendering Amanpulo as one of the best resorts anywhere.

Some of the things that are included with your condo at the Lancaster Cebu Resort apartments : Airconditioing, Kitchen is entirely supplied, laundry service, pool, Cable television in bedroom and living room announced Collingz

The concept of being able to have four folk in a two bedroom suite is also an aspect which will go far.  No more having to get 2 rooms for a family of 4.

if you are planning your vacation either as one family, or as a two family group then the price tag per person of hiring a condotel suite is reasonably tiny.

When going to any other country, may it be the Philippines or Holland or Zimbabwe, you are certain to come across all sorts of hassles and obstacles that could give you a pressing headache and make you wish that you’re back at home sweet home.  But it’s’s really not important to go all through that with the correct amount of preparation and research.  When journeying to another country, you should always expect the unexpected and make sure you have a contingency plan for each situation you may find yourself in.  And in your trip to the Philippines, here are some ideas you could take to make your trip to the Philippines trouble free.

Philippine Travel Tip one – Weather This, Weather That
when you are in Dubai, you’re bound to expect extreme heat during the day and extraordinary cold in the night.  In the Philippines {, however ,} there are no extremities in temperature to watch out for.  If you’re going to travel to the Philippines between the months of March until May, be certain to bring heaps of light garments because it’s the hot and dry season.  During the months of June until October, it’s the rainy season that would greet you on your Philippine travel.  Finally, the months of November till Feb are most likely the best times of the year to travel in the Philippines as it’s cool but dry.  But to be more definite, if you want your trip to the Philippines unmarred by the occasional storm, set your travel date between the middle of December till mid-May.

Philippine Travel Tip 2 – Everything’s within A Call Away?
Manila, the major city of the Philippines, is also dubbed as the texting capital of the Earth because everyone, and I do mean everybody, has got a telephone – or two!  – in their name.  That’s the reason why if you’re lost, you needn’t worry about looking for the closest public phonephone because cellphones are able to work in almost all places in the Philippines.  Quite a convenient thing for anyone traveling, isn’t it?

Philippine Travel Tip 3 – Party Time!
One of the most unique and enjoyable experiences you may have when you travel to the Philippines is being part of the fiesta season.  The whole town or town usually participates in a fiesta and every house is open to all, locals and foreigners alike.  Filipino delicacies are prepared in each household and colorful banners are hung everywhere so that you’d know when there’s a fiesta going on.  You might also try taking part in one of the native games that is’s customarily played like climbing a tree slick with oil or being blindfolded and try hitting the’palayok’ or pot filled with candies and coins for youngsters.

What is Tony Tan Caktiong

In the Philippines, the term fast food is pretty much associated with the Jollibee brand.  It took more than just one man for it to become that way, but all it took to start was a person name Tony Tan Caktiong.  The humble beginning for Tony was working with his pa to operate a kitchen in Fujian, China.  In 1975, Tony commenced his entreprenuerial journey with simply 2 two ice cream parlors in Cubao, Quezon city.

Despite his success with the ice cream parlors, Tony didn’t stop there.  He looked around the world and saw the kind of success chains like McDonalds were having.  Rather than opening a franchise for an existing fast food chain like Burger King or Wendy’s, he made a decision to expand with the opening of his own chain of hamburger-serving fast food restaurants named Jollibee in 1978.

Since McDonald’s hadn’t yet entered into the Philippines, Tony capitalized on this fact by establishing his brand among the Filipino folk.  Instead of making an attempt to learn everything from the start, Tony traveled to the US to learn the tricks of the trade from the already established chains such as McDonalds.  By implementing these proven business practices back in the Phlippines, Tony’s tough work commenced to repay when his business began to rapidly expand.  The division of Jollibee Philippines really tries to serve the specific wishes of the Filipino folk and its culture by focusing its product development as well as its promoting and advertsing to target the unique and standard Filipino family.

Today Tony Tan Caktiong serves as a success story and an idol for entreprenuers around the globe.  This was solified in 2004 when Tony was voted the entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young.  The boss man of Ernst and Young, James S.  Turley claimed,’These awards are about celebrating worldwide entrepreneurship and the will to continually innovate and expand.  Tony’s story is a truly inspiring one, on both these counts.  We are happy he has been selected to get this year’s award.’.

Insurance Guide UK Car Rental

This is a subject which causes a great deal of confusion with customers who are hiring cars in the UK.

As a result of many options available you are never confident what you can afford to [refuse decline] and what you need .

Seasoned can often get confused with this.

The part I am going to cover relates more to customers arriving in the UK from North America. Often credit card companies in North America make available additional advantages with their cards . One of these is car rental insurance. Very often car rental customers from North America when booking a car in the UK will ask that the car hire company insurance is not included in the price as they have insurance with their credit card company.

The car rental company would only consider this if the credit card was a Gold card or a Platinum card, as these cards can cover, the whole cost of the car.

As a car renter you should be aware of this. If you choose to use a Gold card for example to cover the insurance and you are involved in an accident. If the damage to the car was extensive and the car had to be replaced, the car hire company would take the total cost of replacing a car from the credit card.

To have his money paid back the renter would have to contact his credit card company .

If you have an ordinary credit card, not the Gold or Platinum card, you can still reduce insurance cost by making use of the credit card cover on your credit card . The insurance cost I am referring to is  for the damage excess. Damage excess is referred to in Canada as a deductible. Briefly this the maximum amount of money that the car hire company will hold you responsible for if the vehicle is damaged . The cost could be about £600 .

You cannot directly use your credit card to cover the excess in these circumstances. In this situation you would decline the insurance option offered to you at the car rental desk by the car rental company . The person at the desk would authorise your card for the total excess amount. If the car was brought back damaged they would deduct the cost of the repair damage from your credit card up to the maximum amount of the excess . You would then use your card cover to claim the deductible amount back.

Some local independent car hire companies will offer you low cost insurance deals.

The key to finding cheap hotels for your holiday

When planning your next big holiday, budget can be a major concern. You don’t want to spend your time while you’re away worrying that you’ve spent over the odds. Ideally, you want to be relaxing on your holiday! Luckily, there are some things you can do to ensure that you have a fun holiday without having to file for bankruptcy. If you plan your trip carefully, you can find cheap hotels that deliver the same amenities as more expensive arrangements.

Finding the right hotel at the right price is partly about timing. The ’supply and demand’ market forces on hotels tend to operate in seasons. Prices will be far more enticing if you choose to go away out of season. Booking your trip in advance can really help as well. Particularly during quieter times of year when cash flow is tighter, hotels are more interested in locking you into a deal there and then, even if it means reducing prices. This means that by booking early during an off season can get you some incredible deals.

Using this strategy, you can find yourself a good range of cheap hotels to choose from without having a poor quality stay when you get there. It is also a good idea to factor in what kind of additional features are included in your hotel package. If there is the option to go all inclusive and have your meals and drinks covered in the cost of the room, then this could shave a significant amount off your day to day spending.

If, however, you cannot plan your holiday far in advance for whatever reason, then do not despair. There are still plenty of opportunities to find cheap hotels at the moment on a more last minute basis. Hotels around the world have been reacting to the tough economic times by lowering prices, so you can find yourself some real bargains even during peak season.

Ultimately, we all want to enjoy a relaxing stay in a nice hotel while we’re away. However, doing so at the expense of your economic stability is not recommended. As with all areas of life, careful, frugal spending can drastically improve the value you get from your holiday. So, get planning now to make sure you enjoy your next holiday abroad to the fullest.
