When going to any other country, may it be the Philippines or Holland or Zimbabwe, you are certain to come across all sorts of hassles and obstacles that could give you a pressing headache and make you wish that you’re back at home sweet home.  But it’s's really not important to go all through that with the correct amount of preparation and research.  When journeying to another country, you should always expect the unexpected and make sure you have a contingency plan for each situation you may find yourself in.  And in your trip to the Philippines, here are some ideas you could take to make your trip to the Philippines trouble free.

Philippine Travel Tip one – Weather This, Weather That
when you are in Dubai, you’re bound to expect extreme heat during the day and extraordinary cold in the night.  In the Philippines {, however ,} there are no extremities in temperature to watch out for.  If you’re going to travel to the Philippines between the months of March until May, be certain to bring heaps of light garments because it’s the hot and dry season.  During the months of June until October, it’s the rainy season that would greet you on your Philippine travel.  Finally, the months of November till Feb are most likely the best times of the year to travel in the Philippines as it’s cool but dry.  But to be more definite, if you want your trip to the Philippines unmarred by the occasional storm, set your travel date between the middle of December till mid-May.

Philippine Travel Tip 2 – Everything’s within A Call Away?
Manila, the major city of the Philippines, is also dubbed as the texting capital of the Earth because everyone, and I do mean everybody, has got a telephone – or two!  – in their name.  That’s the reason why if you’re lost, you needn’t worry about looking for the closest public phonephone because cellphones are able to work in almost all places in the Philippines.  Quite a convenient thing for anyone traveling, isn’t it?

Philippine Travel Tip 3 – Party Time!
One of the most unique and enjoyable experiences you may have when you travel to the Philippines is being part of the fiesta season.  The whole town or town usually participates in a fiesta and every house is open to all, locals and foreigners alike.  Filipino delicacies are prepared in each household and colorful banners are hung everywhere so that you’d know when there’s a fiesta going on.  You might also try taking part in one of the native games that is’s customarily played like climbing a tree slick with oil or being blindfolded and try hitting the’palayok’ or pot filled with candies and coins for youngsters.

What is Tony Tan Caktiong

In the Philippines, the term fast food is pretty much associated with the Jollibee brand.  It took more than just one man for it to become that way, but all it took to start was a person name Tony Tan Caktiong.  The humble beginning for Tony was working with his pa to operate a kitchen in Fujian, China.  In 1975, Tony commenced his entreprenuerial journey with simply 2 two ice cream parlors in Cubao, Quezon city.

Despite his success with the ice cream parlors, Tony didn’t stop there.  He looked around the world and saw the kind of success chains like McDonalds were having.  Rather than opening a franchise for an existing fast food chain like Burger King or Wendy’s, he made a decision to expand with the opening of his own chain of hamburger-serving fast food restaurants named Jollibee in 1978.

Since McDonald’s hadn’t yet entered into the Philippines, Tony capitalized on this fact by establishing his brand among the Filipino folk.  Instead of making an attempt to learn everything from the start, Tony traveled to the US to learn the tricks of the trade from the already established chains such as McDonalds.  By implementing these proven business practices back in the Phlippines, Tony’s tough work commenced to repay when his business began to rapidly expand.  The division of Jollibee Philippines really tries to serve the specific wishes of the Filipino folk and its culture by focusing its product development as well as its promoting and advertsing to target the unique and standard Filipino family.

Today Tony Tan Caktiong serves as a success story and an idol for entreprenuers around the globe.  This was solified in 2004 when Tony was voted the entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young.  The boss man of Ernst and Young, James S.  Turley claimed,’These awards are about celebrating worldwide entrepreneurship and the will to continually innovate and expand.  Tony’s story is a truly inspiring one, on both these counts.  We are happy he has been selected to get this year’s award.’.

Insurance Guide UK Car Rental

This is a subject which causes a great deal of confusion with customers who are hiring cars in the UK.

As a result of many options available you are never confident what you can afford to [refuse decline] and what you need .

Seasoned can often get confused with this.

The part I am going to cover relates more to customers arriving in the UK from North America. Often credit card companies in North America make available additional advantages with their cards . One of these is car rental insurance. Very often car rental customers from North America when booking a car in the UK will ask that the car hire company insurance is not included in the price as they have insurance with their credit card company.

The car rental company would only consider this if the credit card was a Gold card or a Platinum card, as these cards can cover, the whole cost of the car.

As a car renter you should be aware of this. If you choose to use a Gold card for example to cover the insurance and you are involved in an accident. If the damage to the car was extensive and the car had to be replaced, the car hire company would take the total cost of replacing a car from the credit card.

To have his money paid back the renter would have to contact his credit card company .

If you have an ordinary credit card, not the Gold or Platinum card, you can still reduce insurance cost by making use of the credit card cover on your credit card . The insurance cost I am referring to is  for the damage excess. Damage excess is referred to in Canada as a deductible. Briefly this the maximum amount of money that the car hire company will hold you responsible for if the vehicle is damaged . The cost could be about £600 .

You cannot directly use your credit card to cover the excess in these circumstances. In this situation you would decline the insurance option offered to you at the car rental desk by the car rental company . The person at the desk would authorise your card for the total excess amount. If the car was brought back damaged they would deduct the cost of the repair damage from your credit card up to the maximum amount of the excess . You would then use your card cover to claim the deductible amount back.

Some local independent car hire companies will offer you low cost insurance deals.
