In addition, you will also find some very exciting gay clubs though most of these bars, clubs and accommodations are only available in Eixample.

Sitges is not exactly in Barcelona but it is not far from Barcelona and is a very pretty town that too has much to offer to gays. The beaches in particular have a lot of gays here and in fact they account for 30 percent of the entire tourist population in this part of the world.

To sum up, there is a wealth of gay oriented places in and around Barcelona and there is also the excellent and interesting annual film festival catering solely to the gay community (Gay and Lesbian film festival) that is held in Barcelona each year in the month of October.
