You have retired, bought your dream house in Malaga but still something is wrong. It is very late at night, outside it is raining like hell, and you are not in the mood of going out to get some food. You look at your mobile and at the computer but you feel helpless. There’s nothing more annoying than being hungry and cannot order a takeaway just because you don’t understand any Spanish, written or spoken. If you type ‘take away’ in a Spanish search engine the results you get are not going to help much, because you’re missing the magic words.
There are 2 main ways to try, either ‘Comidas para llevar‘ or ‘comida a domicilio‘. There is even a ‘takeway finderYou will be surprised about how many useful things you will come across about your favourite cousine. But most importantly, you can find useful reviews (some in English), its location in the map, opening hours etc. Chinese will give you loads of takeaway options around your area. Mexican and you will get a full list of Mexican restaurants around where you live.
Another annoying situation is when you fancy going to a restaurant with your boyfriend but you don’t know any great Catalan restaurant in new city you just moved. Visiting the right web site is not hard even if you cannot read Spanish. It is that special today that you need to eat something different but you don’t have any idea about where to go. Being organised or knowing where to seek information can make life much more enjoyable. Find out where the locals go and your life will be so much better!
