Considering taking your dog on your long term holidays to Abu Dhabi? It may be best to find alternative accommodation. Abu Dhabi doesn’t actively dislike canines, but it’s more than a little tired of following them around with the pooper scooper. So as it currently stands, much of the city’s public space is a no-go area. Beaches, shopping malls and centres, public parks and swimming pools are all out of bounds for man’s best friend. Abu Dhabi dog owners are going to find it particularly hard to keep the dog’s healthy and happy with just the streets to play on, and a new code on dog waste disposal will put them under increased obligation.

Dubai and other cities in the United Arab Emirates aren’t necessarily subject to the same law. You’ll find this news welcome if you adore Dubai and its sister cities, and are perhaps thinking of going from all inclusive holidays to establish a permanent residence in the region. The accelerated development that the city has seen in the last decade has lead to very cheap rental prices as well. Construction has far outstripped actual demand for villas, flats and other accommodation in the city of Dubai. Rental on a villa plummeted fourteen percent in 2009 – 2010.

Yet anyone who has been on Dubai holidays will tell you that this is an exciting land of financial opportunity and great tourist experience. But what about the beer? You’ll often hear about the supposed prohibition of alcohol in Dubai. Good news is, it isn’t really true. Access to alcohol in the United Arab Emirates isn’t under any blanket prohibition, though it is subject to certain controls. Rather than being a marketplace pariah, Alcohol sales actually soared in the years before the recession, and a recovery is expected soon enough. And even though there are significant restrictions placed on the sale of alcohol, anything that keeps certain western tourists from turning into loutish thugs is to be welcomed. In Dubai, Hotels are the only night venues licensed to sell alcohol. This is one of the reasons why hotel construction is so notable in Dubai. It is also possible to purchase alcohol at an off-license, though you will need to have a special license to do so.

Dubai is very much the face of the progressive Middle East. Whereas Oil was once kind of the Dubai desert, the economy has shifted to a western inspired model. Geared towards business, free trade and tourism, the new Dubai is world famous for its stunning sky scrapers. Tourists are attracted by a combination of this rich modern architecture, historical cultural buildings and a plethora of shopping malls stocking luxury items at competitive prices. With these elements in combination, Dubai holidays saw such significant tourist numbers that they became the eight most popular by 2007. By 2015, Dubai is hoping to have a tourist population of 15 million. Aside from letting business grow to accommodate this (including several new high profile hotels), the airport has a programme of expansion planned well into the next decade.

A top official recently reassured that the upcoming Maktoum Terminal at Dubai International Airport would be delayed only by a matter of months from its original March 2011 opening. Government funds have been pumped into the already impressive Airport, with a capacity goal of 160 million travellers in the far off future. Both Aviation and Tourism are essential to Dubai, and the airport’s increased capacity isn’t just about accommodating people flying to the city. Dubai is currently (and presumably in the future it will remain so) a crucial Middle Eastern hub to Africa, South Asia and Europe. European flights ultimately heading to Maldives holidays routinely pass through the city, which is continually interested in positioning itself to receive such stop-over tourism, Entry for EU citizens no longer requires a Visa. And despite a few widely publicised restrictions (no public kissing, strict observation of Ramadan fasting and indecency laws against swimsuits), the city is incredibly welcoming of foreigners.

Dubai has been gradually evolving beyond its status as a glorified shopping centre too. You need only go halfway to the Maldives if recent (now remedied) scandals have put you off Weddings abroad. The sand of the desert and the sand of the beaches may merge into one in the collective consciousness, but Dubai has some brilliant beaches and perpetual sun, whether you’re honeymooning or simply looking for a fantastic holiday destination.

In 2010 the tourism industry didn’t make much progress on year before due to the credit crunch and worldwide recession, this however all looks to change in 2011 as new tourist hot spot are looking to attract Millions of tourists.

Cuba – tourists have only been allowed to enter Cuba’s boarder again since 1997 Because of the communistic policies the government undertook, when the Soviet Union collapsed Cuba was only left with its internal industry as all Imports/exports were banned by the U.S’s embargo.

Before Fidel’s Castro’s government in the 1950′s Cuba was most visited country in the Caribbean, as millions of Americans would take their annual holidays there, they were attracted by the hot tropical climates, the white bountiful beaches, blue skies and crystal clear waters, these combined with the rich Spanish culture renders into the perfect holiday destination.

Cuba Holidays were taken over 2 million people last year this indicates that year on year Cuba’s tourism industry is rapidly expanding in order to cope with tourist masses, this is why Cuba is expected to be a great tourist destination in 2011.

Dubai Dubai is an extremely wealthy emirate in the Middle East, many believe that Dubai has gained most of its wealth through Crude oil and gases but in fact the reserves ran low in the 80′s leaving the country to create a new business model which today is in full swing and it firstly focused its efforts firstly on real estate (which is the reason for the country’s wealth) and has now moved onto its tourism sector.

Dubai really wants to be the new tourism hot spot and central hub for the entire world; hundreds of billions have been spent in the emirate over the last decade to attract a booming tourists industry.

Dubai’s Main Attractions Entail:

  • Burj Dubai the world’s tallest sky scrapper which broke over 20 guiness world records as well as boosting the world only seven star hotel
  • Complete revamp of down town Dubai
  • Man made islands in the shape of the Earth and a Palm tree
  • 4 Shopping malls which are the largest in the world
  • Man made rotating mountain covered in real snow
  • World’s largest aquarium
  • a Catalogue of gallery’s, parks and Museums
  • and in 2018 the world’s largest theme park is expected to open named “Dubai Land” this paradise of fun is expected to be seven times the size of Disney world and entail many Sub parks such as “universal studio” and “dream work studios”

These are just a few attractions Dubai Holidays have to offer there are a catalogue more, but you can see the point I’m getting at, Dubai has a lot to offer in the ways to see and experience this is why it’s expected to be one of the most visited holiday destinations in 2011.
