Through gambling you can either win big or you can lose big but I know people who have lost more than made more. Though gambling does not mean you spending few hours of online poker over in the week or the weekend. I enjoy playing online poker sometimes as I receive rakeback deals from my monthly magazines to play on absolute poker but that doesn’t mean I am addicted. Addiction can be caused by many things such as gambling, drinking and mostly drugs.

In simple English gambling is something that you bet on and hope you win. Many people try gamble on a daily basis and then they can’t stop which gets them addicted. They will no will power to stop gambling. Gambling has ruined many people’s lives especially cricket players. From being the richest cricket players in the World they have gone down to being a person who had to sell their homes for money. Their family must have gone through hell in this situation.

Gambling is one thing which you should never associate with especially bettings and fixings. Playing poker is ok. Millions of people play poker either on the Internet or with their family as a fun activity. That is not gambling. While playing poker online you meet lots of people from different cultures which improves your cultural awareness. And another advantage is that it sharpens your mind because you have to be focused at all times and read the game.

People who have been addicted to gambling in the past have lost a lot of money through it. Some have even lost members of their family because of the addiction. I know people who have suffered mentally after the addiction and they were all living a happy life before.

Avoid the addiction of gambling or drinking or drugs.

So far in 2010 Sorel Mizzi has had a fantastic year, finishing inside top ten in 12 tournaments. His 4 titles this year also has helped him reached the top of the leader board this year. In comparision to last year this is a massive jump for the young man when he finished 174th and in 2008 his ranking was 91st. He is having a fantastic season so far. He also enjoys playing rakeback deals online sometimes.

Mizzi is currently at the first position in the leader board with 1,298.07 player of the year points. With 773.57 points, it is Thomas Marches in the second place. Juan Carlos Mortensen then follows Thomas with 758.55 points. Not far behind is Shawn Buchanan with 699.83 points.

In the fifth position is Samuel Stein with 698.90 points. Frank Kassela then comes in sixth with 693.55 points. In seventh Daniel Shak is sitting comfortable with.08 poy points. Jason Mercier was last years player of the year and this year he is struggling a bit in 8th with 652.05 points. He is quite a bit away from the leader but he has still had a good poker season. Daniel Alaei finished sixth last year and still is in the hunt to finish in top 5 this year currently ninth with 627.30 points. With 595.63 points Chris Bell is in tenth position. Then in eleventh it is Mike Beasley with 579.18 points.

Sorel Mizzi is certainly the biggest surprise of this year. No one expected a competition from this man and now they have got it. He has bounced back massively after a terrible season in 2009 and has silenced his critics.

I am looking forward to few pokerstars rakeback and a full tilt rakeback online tournaments and see if I finish in any leader board. One can always dream.
