Wizarding World of Harry Potter progress report

The title is correct and as of spring 2010 Harry Potter’s home will be in the theme park Islands of Adventure within Universal Sutdios. The park is not basing the land on any of the books or films in particular but as a collection of all of those as a whole. They are currently working very closely with Warner Brothers on bringing the imagination of J.K Rowling to life. Having just returned from Florida, at the moment all that can be seen is Hogwarts Castle being built along with a Ministry Of Magic Decree saying no one can see what is going on within that certain area of the park.

Two of the current rides are going to be closed for a short while as they are being shifted into Harry Potter ones. The family favourite The Flying Unicorn will be turned into Flight of the Hippogriff and the dual-track Duelling Dragons coaster is set to be turned into Dragon Challenge. The latter of the two is actually still open so it is possible not much will be done to this ride at all.

The final ride is so secret that nobody knows what it is going to contain. Universal have announced it will be called Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and have stated it will be “state of the art” as well as “mind blowing”. Seeing as they have not broken their promises on other rides such as Spiderman, The Mummy and the very recent Rip-Ride-Rock it it could be very interesting indeed.

Dining experience will include the Three Broomsticks, Hog’s Head and Honeydukes for all those chocolate frog fans. Some of the shopping that is going to be available include; Ollivanders, Zonko’s, Dervish and Banges and Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Goods. Hogsmeade train station as well as the Owlery are also to be included in the new part of the park.

So book your Florida holidays and American holidays or even perhaps USA tours now to make sure you do not miss out on this opportunity.

This is something that can be put in any order at all. Everyone has a favourite and that is understandable so creating another debate is not needed at all.

The Cedar Point

This park is huge at 364 acres, and contains over 75 rides! As well as this it has ten shows and as well as a water park and the best part about it? The 17 roller coasters which is more than any park in the entire world easily. The Magnum XL-200 was once considered the tallest as well as the fastest steel coaster in the world. The mean Streak wooden coaster hits over 120mph and has a 400ft drop on it. Of course if coasters are not for you the shows or the water park is the way to go.

Walt Disney World

Technically a big collection of theme parks, this is dubbed the most magical place in the world. Visiting this place it is rather easy to see why. All the favourite Disney characters can be seen throughout the four main parks as well as sometimes appearing at the two water parks. This is the most famous of the parks here is the Magic Kingdom with the legendary Cinderella Castle at the centre. Rides for both young and old feature in all four of the main parks and this resort should certainly be on your list of parks to visit when going to America.

Universal Studios Florida

This was chosen above the other theme park for one reason alone, Islands of Adventure. A brilliant park featuring Marvel Land and the soon Harry Potter. The Studios itself contains the new thrill ride Rip-Ride-Rock it!

So there you have it just three reasons to visit America. USA holidays are not cheap but are really worth it. If you are not into theme parks then why not go on one of those USA tours or perhaps Miami holidays is what suits you best.
