The beautiful Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean are a long standing British favourite when it comes to island holidaying, with Majorca being a particularly popular choice. The island is well used to catering for the many visitors that flock to its shores every year and has a wide range of cheap hotels ready and waiting to suit all types of holidaymaker. Some prices may seem too good to be true, but there has been no compromise on quality to achieve them. The deals and discounts offered by hotels on the island at the moment offer real value.

An excellent example of the good quality cheap hotels in Majorca is Hotasa Samoa Hotel, winner of an accolade at the recent Hotels4u.com and Medhotels.com awards ceremony. The hotel took home the title of ‘Leading Hotel in the Balearic Islands’, beating off strong competition in the category, which spanned across all three of the major Balearic Islands: Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza.

Surrounded by stunning beaches and inviting, crystal clear waters, Hotasa Samoa Hotel is ideally located in Calas De Mallorca,  on the east coast of the island. Families in particular will enjoy the variety of activities on offer at the hotel, including a swimming pool, tennis court, mini-golf course, pool tables, games and TV room, onsite restaurants, pool bar, lounge bar, shops, exchange bureau, kids’ clubs, play area and bike rental. Meanwhile, there is even more to do in the nearby town centre, and the beach itself is just 200 metres away.

Hotasa Samoa Hotel is just one of the many cheap hotels in Majorca that offers the perfect environment for family holidaying. Unsurprisingly, Majorca hotels can be found in all shapes and sizes, so it’s not just families that can benefit from a great value holiday on this paradise island. If desired, Majorca can just as easily provide the perfect romantic backdrop for a couple on holiday. There is plenty to entertain party goers as well, with Magalluf a renowned hot spot for a great night out.

For many years, sun seeking Brits have been flocking to Majorca for a sunshine fix. The beaches, bars and many good quality cheap hotels in Majorca are filled with enthusiastic holidaymakers during the peak season months. And it’s not just British travellers who enjoy the island’s charms. The King and Queen of Spain themselves were among the visitors this August when they stopped on the island for their regular holiday in the Balearics. While there’s no doubt a peak season visit can be exhilarating – particularly if you’re there to soak up the buzzing party atmosphere in Magaluf – the experience can also seem hectic at times. So for a quieter break in the sun a winter visit is the perfect solution.

Majorca’s ‘something for everybody’ appeal has had a lot to do with its success. You’re guarenteed to find something to suit, whether you like beaches, sun-worshipping and shopping, or perhaps prefer culture, sightseeing and fine cuisine. Families, couples, groups of friends, those on a budget, those with money, or those just looking for a change of scene can all find something in Majorca.

In one sense the island offers a tried and tested formula. You know where you stand with Majorca and know what you’re going to get when you arrive. For those who aren’t keen to take too much of a gamble with their cash this is particularly good news and the many cheap hotels in Majorca that are available help to ease the burden even further. In another sense, though, there’s so much on offer in Majorca that you could go back again and again and have a completely different experience every time.

Year round temperatures are a real advantage. Average temperatures reach highs of 29°C in August and then remain over 20°C into October meaning autumn visitors can experience the island’s offerings in comfort as well as relative peace and quiet.

From the sights and museums offered by the capital of Palma de Majorca – including the impressive gothic Palma Cathedral and 14th century Bellver Castle – to the island’s many and varied picturesque beaches, there is plenty to be enjoyed.

Experiencing the island during the winter months away from the peak season crowds is certainly a good way to get to know the real Majorca. You’ll also be able to enjoy out of season prices on Majorca hotels so that you get the most out of your money while you’re away.
